Indigo Nails "Effect Base" - how does it work?

Hi! Today I would like to show you a product that was a mystery for me when it was launched. Indigo Nails "Effect Base" promises to give us the "wow" effect completely different than standard nail powders rubbed into a dispersive layer. Does it deliver on the promise? And are these two methods so different from each other? You will know know the answers after reading this post ;-)

"Effect Base" od Indigo Nails ma dać nam efekt "wow" - zupełnie inny od klasycznego wcierania w warstwę dyspersyjną. Czy rzeczywiście tak jest? I czy obie metody znacznie różnią się od siebie? Zapraszam na wpis ;-)

At first, I thought that "Effect Base" is supposed to solve the problem of different stickiness of dispersive layers of various gel polishes. Those of you who work with many colors and brands know what I'm talking about. Sometimes we have to somehow sense how much time the particular gel polish should spend in a lamp to produce a perfect surface. But it wasn't the main idea behind "Effect Base", as it turns out :-P

Na początku myślałam, że "Effect Base" ma rozwiązać problem różnicy w lepkości warstw dyspersyjnych poszczególnych lakierów. Kto pracuje z wieloma lakierami różnych firm na pewno wie o co chodzi... czasem po prostu, trzeba wyczuć dany kolor ile ma się utwardzać aby uzyskać piękną taflę. Jednak nie taki był zamysł Indigo Nails jak się okazuje :-P

"Effect Base" gives us a sort of moist dispersive layer. The effect that we can get is far from the typical finish of Metal Manix or Mermaid Effect. On the pictures below you can see the difference between rubbing a nail powder into a disprsive layer (on the left) and on "Effect Base" (on the right).

"Effect Base" daje bardzo dużą, jakby mokrą, warstwę dyspersyjną. Efekt jaki uzyskujemy dzięki niej daleki jest od typowej tafli do jakiej jesteśmy przyzwyczajeni np. w Efekcie Syrenki lub Metal Manix. Poniżej możecie dokładnie zobaczyć różnicę pomiędzy wcieraniem pyłku w warstwę dyspersyjną lakieru hybrydowego (po lewej) a "Effect Base" (po prawej).

As you can see, the surface we can produce with "Effect Base" is more glittery - the particles are much more visible. You could ask, what's the difference between this effect and the standard sprinkling with glitter on top of wet top coat? I asked this question myself ;-) On the picture below you can see false nails with Metal Manix in "Pink Gold" - nail powder rubbed into a dispersive layer (to the left), "Effect Base" (in the middle) and sprinkled powder on wet top coat (to the right). All the nails are sealed with a top coat.

Jak możecie zauważyć efekt jaki uzyskujemy przy "Effect Base" jest bardziej brokatowy - drobiny są znacznie bardziej widoczne. Możecie zapytać, a jaka jest różnica między tym efektem a klasycznym posypaniem pyłkiem na mokry top? Też sobie zadałam to pytanie ;-) Poniżej możecie zobaczyć wzorniki z Metal Manix "Pink Gold" - pyłek w tarty w warstwę dyspersyjną (po lewej), "Effect Base" (po środku) i posypany na mokry top (po prawej). Wszystkie wzorniki są pokryte top coatem.
